Major funding for The Papers of George Washington is provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Historical Publications and Records Commission, as well as by the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association and the University of Virginia. Your gift, regardless of size, is important to the project in enabling it to meet the matching requirements of many of its grants and to maintain its high standards of quality and productivity.

All individual donors will receive the project's newsletter. Those giving at the following levels for a single calendar year will receive added benefits:

• $50 or more will be acknowledged in the newsletter and on the project's website.
  *If you prefer your gift to remain anonymous, please let us know.*
• $500 or more also will receive a future volume of The Papers signed by the editors.
• $1,000 or more also will be acknowledge in a future volume of The Papers.
